Nitro District is unashamed arcade racing. Forget realistic handling, this is about drifting through neon corners and chaining boosts. The controls are just tilt or tap, and both feel snappy enough to trust at high speed. We preferred tapping for the tighter tracks.
Progression is car-by-car, and each new vehicle actually feels different rather than being the same car with bigger numbers. The night tracks look great and the sound of the boost never gets old. It's the sort of game you fire up when you want a quick hit of adrenaline.
The downside is the track count runs thin after a while, and you start seeing repeats. Still, for pure moment-to-moment fun on a short break, it delivers.
