Lucky Coin

Lucky Coin surprised us. On the surface it's a simple casual game where you flick and tilt a bright golden coin across a series of small handcrafted levels, but the physics have a satisfying weight to them. You roll, you jump gaps, and you nudge the coin around obstacles by tapping the edges of the screen. It sounds basic until you hit level fifteen and realise the timing has quietly gotten sharp.

Control is the star here. The coin responds instantly, so when you miss a jump it feels like your mistake, not the game's. Later stages add rotating platforms and gentle wind that pushes you off course, which forces you to plan a route rather than just react. We spent one commute completely absorbed in a single tricky level, replaying it maybe a dozen times before it clicked.

The presentation is soft and cheerful, with little chimes when you clear a checkpoint and a relaxed soundtrack that never nags you. It's the kind of game you pick up for five minutes and put down forty later. What we liked most is that it never punishes you harshly, it just quietly encourages one more try.
